Wa alaikum as salam wa rahmatullah Sister,

Isn't it just so liberating to not have to worry about these things. I wear the full hijab from head to toe (not niqab) and subhana Allah it is my business what I wear under this. I feel free I am not competing with the latest fashions, I am not gazed upon I am free to go about my business.  For me this is true liberation.

Welcome to Islam Sister, I pray for the best for you.

Fe aman Illah

I leave you under the protection of Allah subhana wa ta'ala

hello! i've been a muslim since dec. 4th of this year. i'd been doing research on islam for the past couple of months after a close friend of mine reverted. the 'muslim way' is completely opposite from how she was before, so i got curious and asked her to recommend some books to read, one of them being the qu'ran. i recently started dressing in hijab and i wanted to cry the first day i covered my hair. all the rude comments and dirty looks are kinda hard to take at first. now i'm finding that stuff and the terrorism jokes are kinda interesting, since it just shows how ignorant people really are. hijab is awesome! nobody knows if you're having a bad hair day, your head is warm, you don't have to worry about ear infections, and your don't have to worry about what your butt looks like when you're buying clothes!
